What you will find is that the coastline along the 147 miles of the byway will take your breath away! So far so good, you have spent the last few days meandering through places like Steuben, Milbridge and even Jonesport. While eating your lunch in the local gas station you are being entertained by local Lobstermen that have spent a lifetime in the region you're exploring. The conversation turns to what areas are a must see in this beautiful land you are discovering. It is unanimous, you must drive over to South Addison and visit Cape Split! Only 20 minutes away, you head off to see what the old timers are saying! You find Mooseneck Road, and you find the fork in the road and the sign that says Cape Split. You have traveled extensively, you know when you feel a vibe about a place, you felt it in Sedona, even Cape Cod, that vibe is starting to come alive. You notice the homes along the road are beautifully maintained and the views of the rocky coast are breathtaking. Then it happens, you round the corner and for the first time on the journey, you see the Beach of your dreams. You cross the land bridge leaving the mainland, the cottage at 397 Cape Split Road is exactly what you have been looking for. And it comes with an Island, as well as a very intriguing history.
